“The Pennsbury Concert Jazz Band is considered one of the finest scholastic music ensembles in the country and has been an integral part of the Pennsbury Instrumental Music Department since its inception in 1959, consistently earning the highest rankings at the festivals in which it competes. The band has performed on the ‘Tonight Show,’ at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland, the Mellon Festival, the Montreal Jazz Festival, and was the first US high school jazz band to perform in the Peopleโ€™s Republic of China. PCJB is under the direction of Mr. Frank Mazzeo. The band traveled to its fifth continent โ€“ Australia โ€“ in March 2016 and performed with James Morrison,” organizers said in a statement.

The Jazz Ensemble was established in 1991 to give more kids the chance to study and perform jazz.

Tickets for the festival are $10 for adults and $5 for students and seniors. Pennsbury Concert Jazz Band CDs and T-shirts will be available for purchase, as well as concessions.
