The area’s newest ice cream shop opened in Levittown.
Richman’s Ice Cream and Burgers offers burgers, side, soft serve ice cream, hand-dipped ice cream, water ice, fired oreos and funnel cakes.

“The idea is for us to take fresh ice cream and water-ice from the factory and deliver it right to the customers,” said Steve Matthews, one of the owners of the new Richman’s location. “We’re very big on community.
Saturday’s grand opening was preceded by a Friday night soft opening. According to Matthews, the store was at capacity and the turnout was stellar. He was also happy with Saturday’s turnout, where attendees could receive a free ice cream or water ice.
Local politicians were at the ribbon cutting and grand opening on Saturday as well. State Rep. Tina Davis was there along with Bristol Township Council members Patrick Antonello and Howard Allen.

“We’re happy to see an improvement to the property,” Allen said. Richman’s replaced Chipper’s Big Dipper after about eight months of work.
“I see this as a regular stop,” said Allen, who lives in the nearby Violetwood section of Bristol Township.
