Middletown Township police tookย a Feasterville man into custody after they allegedly found him with two prohibited firearms and an assortment of drugs they say were ready to be sold.
Officers say they were on patrol in the area of New Falls and Woodbourne roads on March 10 shortly after 3 a.m., when they observed 25-year-old William Moore operating a black Mitsubishi Lancer without functioning tail lights.

According to a probable cause affidavit, when police initiated a traffic stop, they noticed fraudulent inspection stickers on the windshield, an odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle and a clear glassine baggie containing suspected cocaine on the passenger floor.
Moore, who admitted to officers that the cocaine was his, was also found with a handgun next to the driver’s seat. Moore, who has a felony conviction for burglary from March 2008 out of Philadelphia, is prohibited from carrying a firearm, police said.
After Moore was taken into custody, officers uncovered an additional prohibited handgun, methamphetamine, heroin, marijuana, several prescription medications, glassine baggies, small plastic containers, wax paper, a scale, and a glass pipe inside his vehicle. Within a trunk safe, officers also found several rounds of shotgun ammunition, an empty wrapper commonly used to contain heroin, as well as a single Alprazolam tablet, according to court documents.

Officers noted in their report that those who engage in the drug trade and possess narcotics with the intent to deliver them commonly carry a variety of narcotics as well as baggies, capsules, and scales to measure and package them. Firearms are also commonly carried to use for protectionย through transportation and distribution.
During an interview with police, Moore admitted that he was in possession of two firearms and that he was aware that was prohibited based on a prior felony conviction. Moore also admitted to possessing the methamphetamine, cocaine, heroin, and marijuana, according to court documents.
