Mill Street was blocked off for a portion of Friday afternoon by police and fire police as crews filmed Amanda Brinkman, the chief brand officer for Deluxe and co-host of the series, and Herjavec greeting Bristolians. They also chatted with local business owners as they made their way along Mill Street.

The eight episode second season of the series that streams on SmallBusinessRevolution.org and Hulu will prominently feature six borough businesses.

The small businesses that will be featured are: Discover, Learn and Grow, Keystone Boxing, Miguel’s Riverside Barbershop, Polka Dot Parlor, Hems Auto and Annabella Restaurant, according Bill Pezza, chairman of Bristol Borough: Raising the Bar.

“[Being selected] means everything right now,” said Paulette Kasmer, owner of Polka Dot Parlor. She explained that she has just passed six months of being open on Mill Street and knows some of her own strengths and weaknesses.

“This couldn’t have come at a better time to help me out,” Kasmer said.

After being surrounded by fans, Herjavec found a couple minutes to sit down in the King George II Inn.

“The bulk of new employment is thanks to small businesses,” Herjavec said. “There would really be no Mill Street if there were no small businesses.”

“It’s really important to use businesses that have lessons that other small businesses can learn from,” Brinkman said after the filming.

The film crew will be back in the borough at the end of this month and several more times through June. The six business owners will be flown out to Deluxe’s offices in Minnesota to work with Brinkman’s team.

“I’m so proud to be part of the next stage for Bristol,” Brinkman said with a smile.
