Bristol Throws Party After Small Business Revolution Win

Thousands came out to the Bristol Borough Wharf Friday evening to celebrate the town’s Small Business Revolution win.

There was a fire truck-led caravan, dancing and singing, plenty of activities for the kids, free food and a community spirit unlike anything Bristol has seen in the past four decades.

“It’s an honor, it really is. This town is on fire right now,” Borough Council President Ralph DiGuiseppe II said of the win.

The crowd cheered as Bristol Borough: Raising the Bar Chairman Bill Pezza spoke to the audience and thanked them for their support.

Pezza received kudos from numerous residents and officials that LevittownNow.com spoke to Friday evening.

State Rep. John Galloway commended Pezza for his efforts to put Bristol in the spotlight and thanked everyone who supported the town.

“It was great to see that Bristol wouldn’t give up. They kept growing and growing,” Galloway said of the support for voting.

“It’s great, they really welcomed a Levittown boy like me,” he added.

Residents also spoke highly of the festivities along the waterfront.

“It’s really great,” said George Robinson, a resident of the borough. “I’m very glad we won, and this party is really incredible.”

“It’s really a great town, and I think we truly deserved to win,” Robinson said.

The Small Business Revolution team will begin filming their Hulu streaming series in the borough next month. Over the never several months, the Small Business Revolution team will dole out $500,000 to improve small businesses and offer marketing support.
