A person was struck and killed by a SEPTA train Thursday evening.
SEPTA spokesman Andrew Busch confirmed the fatality along the regional rail line just past the Levittown station in Falls Township. Readers said the police activity was focused on the tracks off Tyburn Road.

The incident happened around 7:30 p.m. when a person “in the track area” and was struck, Busch said.
Passengers were on the striking train headed to Trenton and were transferred to their destination by another train, the spokesman said. He added that no one on the train was injured.
As of 9 p.m., police remained on the scene.

Falls police Lt. Hank Ward said Amatrak police are handling the investigation.
