Construction of Tullytown’s newest park began in December.
The park, which is located behind Walmart and adjacent to Kenwood section in Levittown, is being billed as an all inclusive space with accessible entertainment and structures for people of all ages and capabilities.

According to Alison Smith, the Tullytown Borough coordinator, the park will include a playground with handicap accessible pieces, two bocce courts, a pavilion and a gazebo to allow for open air concerts and picnicking.
Aiming to be a space for everyone, the park will also include walks, benches and a rain garden, Smith said.
Mayor David Cutchineal said the new park will fit well with the borough’s other parks and open spaces.

Access to the park will be available through Kenwood Drive where a parking lot will be situated at the end of the road.
The contract to build the park was awarded to James R. Kenney for $796,358.40. The work on the park began in December and the estimated completion date is May 1, 2017.

Funding for the park is coming from a few places: $250,000 is from a Bucks County Planning Commission grant, $350,000 is from the borough of Tullytown and $387,000 is coming from a grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. Smith also said that there are some in-kind donations coming from borough personnel.
