After pleading guilty to numerous offenses Monday, a Levittown man will serve state prison time for stabbing two good Samaritans outside a Bristol Township Wawa last year.
Arthur John Troy, who turned 22 earlier this month, was sentenced to 4.5 to 9 years in a state correctional facility and nine years concurrent probation. He was also ordered to pay $68,000 in restitution to the victims, Assistant District Attorney Megan Hunsicker said.

According to court papers, Troy was asked by a manager to unplug phone charger from an exterior outlet at the Wawa on Green Lane and Route 13 in June 2016. Troy became irate at the request and began cursing at employees and customers before the mother pumping gas asked him to stop using that language.
“Mind your own f–king business,” Troy told the woman.
Two men walked over to intervene and make sure the woman with two young kids was safe. At that point, Troy swung a knife at the two good Samaritans and ended up stabbing both in the hand, authorities said.

Hunsicker said the knife completely went through the one man’s hand and caused sliced nerves and tendons that still require medical attention. The other man who was stabbed suffered less serious injuries.
Other Wawa customers followed Troy as he held the convenience store and threw the knife in the Delaware Canal.

Police were quickly able to take Troy into custody.
Hunsicker explained no other factors appeared to play into Troy’s attack aside from the fact he was upset the Wawa manager asked him to unplug his cell phone charger.
