The Delaware River Bridge that connects the Pennsylvania and New Jersey turnpikes was closed Friday after a cracked truss was found.
The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission said in a statement that the bridge that connects Bristol Township to Burlington Township, New Jersey, is closed until the fractured steel truss can be repaired. A repair timeline was not released as of Friday night.

Crews from the New Jersey Turnpike Authority found the fractured truss Friday afternoon and all traffic on the bridge was shut down shortly after, officials said.
Slow-moving or stopped traffic is to be expected during the closure, officials said. They added that traffic will be diverted through Route 13 and Veterans Highway (Route 413) and across the Burlington-Bristol Bridge.
The bridge was built in 1955 and spans 680 feet across the Delaware River.
