The Bristol Township School Board has voted to expel a student for at least a year.
The seventh grade student, according to district documents, possessed a weapon on school property and was caught. The student was not named and the location of the incident was not released at the school board meeting.

At the end of the 2016-2017 school year, a periodic review of the student will be held. If the middle school student is in compliance with behavioral, attendance and the academic standards of his educational program, he would be permitted to return to school in September, officials said.
