Basketball games between Harry S. Truman High School and Pennsbury High School were cancelled Tuesday over concerns of a fight.

The boys and girls games that were set for Tuesday evening at Truman and their cancellations were announced by late afternoon, according to parents and students.

Bristol Township police Lt. Ralph Johnson said the district cancelled the games after rumors a fight would ignite. The whispers were linked to a fight that happened Monday in school and was quickly broken up by teachers and school police.

“In the interest of safety, the games will be rescheduled,” Johnson said.

A fight broke out last month after a boys basketball game that pitted Bensalem against Truman. Johnson said that large fight remains under investigation.
