Man Struck By Car While Changing Tire

A man was struck by a car while changing a tire along Route 1 in Middletown Sunday night.

The man, who was working for a mobile repair service, was struck while changing the tire on a disabled vehicle on northbound Route 1 just past Neshaminy High School.

According to 6abc, the man was taken to St. Mary Medical Center with broken bones and head injuries. He is expected to survive.

The driver of the striking vehicle stopped and cooperated with police, the TV station reported.

The crash happened around 8:40 p.m.

The Parkland Fire Company and Penndel-Middletown Emergency Squad responded to the scene.
