A local nonprofit is working to collect donations to make the holidays a little brighter for those who need it most.

Family Service Association of Bucks County is once again collecting donations in the form of unwrapped gifts for distribution later this holiday season. After the donations are complete, by early December, the gifts will be displayed so that residents of the Bucks County Emergency Homeless shelter and other clients with demonstrated need will be able to pick and choose gifts for their immediate family.

It is possible to get involved with Family Service by donating or volunteering. Volunteers will be needed to wrap the gifts.

For questions about donations, contact Susan Fischer-Flagg at 215-757-6916 ext. 218 or sfischer@fsabc.org. For questions about volunteering, contact Ellen Vinson at 215-757-6916 ext. 202 or volunteer@fsabc.org.

Family Service Association of Bucks County helped 1,250 families during the 2015 holiday season.
