If you haven’t noticed, the so-called supermoon has been gracing the skies above Lower Bucks County.
The Bristol-based Focal Planes Foto Club took to the area to shoot some photos of the supermoon. Photographer and Bristol Borough resident Tim Hufnell sent over some great shots from Market Street along the Delaware River in Bristol.

“The clear sky and low humidity made the moonrise more spectacular. Once the sky darkened, we were treated to a New York-bound airplane passing in front of the moon,” he said.
The supermoon is the closest full moon of the year. According to NASA, the moon was within 221,523 miles of Earth’s surface on Monday morning.
The last time the moon was closer to earth was in January 1948.

The Focal Planes Foto Club meets on the second and fourth Monday of every month at the Silver Lake Nature Center.
