On Tuesday, September 13, shortly after 2 p.m., Bristol Township police were dispatched to Moeller Packaging located in the 3900 block of Nebraska Street in Newportville for reports of an employee assaulting another employee with a bat. According to a police affidavit, when officers responded to the scene, they quickly located the victim who acknowledged that theyย had been beaten by an employee theyย knew only as ‘Ron’ or ‘Ronald’.

The victim was reportedly treated by the Levittown-Fairless Hills Rescue Squad and suffered multiple lacerations with potentially life threatening injuries. The victim was then transported to Aria Health’s Torresdale campus for treatment.

According to court documents, Byrd had allegedly attacked the employee with a wooden bat, hitting them several times before someone was able to pull Byrd away. Witnesses told police that Byrd had fled the scene prior to police arrival.
