The event will give residents the opportunity to meet local first responders, learn important, check out fire trucks information and see demonstrations.
Kids will have the chance to practice how to crawl through smoke and exit a home during a fire, use fire extinguishers and prepare emergency plans. Firefighters will also demonstrate auto rescues and handling crashed tanker trucks. In addition, the police will provide safety information to families while offering fingerprint kits to children.
The event will coincide with Fire Prevention Month, which is October.
