The Middletown Board of Supervisors approved an amendment to a parking ordinance and voted to dedicate a new public street last week.

The board voted in favor of prohibiting parking on Heartwood Turn in Levittown on both sides of the street from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. The change, according to officials, was requested by staff at nearby Albert Schweitzer Elementary School on Harmony Road and the police chief.

The board also voted to dedicate Tall Tree Lane off Zimmerman Lane as a public street. The residents of the Whispering Woods development requested the dedication of the cul-de-sac where 12 homes sit, according township engineer Larry Young.
