A man accused of shooting a man in Philadelphia earlier this summer was taken into custody in Bristol Township Wednesday morning.
Falls, Bristol Township and Tullytown police assisted the U.S. Marshal Service Fugitive Task Force around 7 a.m. Wednesday in arresting Romeo Perez, 19, in the greenbelt between the Stonybrook and Kenwood sections of Levittown.

James Burke, assistant chief of the U.S. Marshal’s Philadelphia office, said Perez fled a house in Stonybrook after learning investigators were coming for him and was arrested in the greenbelt without incident.
Perez, who will be charged with attempted murder, is accused of being connected to a July 5 shooting in the 6500 block of Torresdale Avenue. A male victim was hit with bullets several times in the arm and survived the early morning shooting, according to authorities.
The U.S. Marshal Service Fugitive Task Force recently developed information that Perez was with “family or a female associate” in the unit block of South Lane. When federal agents and police arrived Wednesday, they learned Perez had just fled the house.

Daniel Doyle, Tullytown’s chief of police, said his officers worked with Bristol Township police to form a perimeter around the neighborhood to prevent Perez from escaping.
For U.S. Marshal’s, Wednesday’s arrest was just another day on the job.
