Middletown, Penndel Police Participating In Weekend DUI Checkpoint

Bucks County’s DUI Task Force will be hitting the streets again this weekend.

Police from Bensalem, Middletown, New Britain, Penndel, Solebury, Upper Southampton and Warrington will be staffing a checkpoint along Street Road in Bensalem from 10 p.m. Saturday until 3 a.m. Sunday.

“All passing vehicles will be stopped at the checkpoint, where drivers will be observed for signs of impairment. Any who appear to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs may be subjected to field sobriety tests and possible arrest,” a press release from the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office read.

The checkpoint follows roving DUI patrols in eight towns over the Labor Day weekend and a DUI checkpoint earlier this year in Newtown.
