
A Bristol man is in custody with nearly a dozen pending drug charges after an incident outside the Winder Village section of the township.
Phillip Griffin, 25, was arrested and charged with 11 drug-related offenses, DUI, possession of an instrument of crime, and four traffic related summary offenses.

According to a police affidavit, Griffin’s vehicle was observedย swerving across lanes on Route 413 without headlights and even stop in the middle of an intersection at a red light shortly before 2:30 a.m. on Sunday, August 28 before he was pulled over by state police.
Officers noted in court documents that an immediate odor of alcohol and marijuana emanated from Griffin’s person and after failing a field sobriety test, he was placed in custody for suspicion of DUI. While conducting a vehicle search, a loaded Smith & Wesson revolver was recovered under the driver’s seat, a cellophane bag containing crack cocaine was discovered in the driver’s side visor and approximately 74 grams of marijuana, 20 blue wax paper bags containing heroin, a bulk pack of clear zip lock baggies, a digital scale, and a pack of Dutch Masters cigarillos were found in the vehicle’s center console. All items were seized and transported back to the state police barracks in Trevose for evidence.
Griffinย was arraigned and sent to jail on 10 percent of $25,000 bail.
