Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito said the fire was contained to the kitchen of a unit but left the apartment uninhabitable due to fire, smoke and heat damage.
The woman who lives in the apartment told the fire marshal she put a pot of grease on the stove and fell asleep. She awoke a short time later to find the stove top and cabinets ablaze. While leaving the burning building, the woman alerted neighbors to the fire.
The female resident suffered a minor injury when she fell while leaving the apartment, Dippolito said.

The woman will be staying with relatives.
Crews from Bensalem, Bristol Borough, Falls Township and Tullytown assisted Bristol Township volunteer firefighters at the scene.
