Wendy’s Will Reopen After Chicken Fryer Fire

A fast food restaurant that was closed Friday after a fire will reopen.

A chicken fryer inside the Wendy’s at 227 Plaza Boulevard in Falls Township’s Morrisville section caught fire Friday morning shortly before the eatery opened. The flames were quickly put down, but the Wendy’s had to close and throw out its food, Fire Marshal Rich Dippolito said.

The eatery suffered little damaged but fire control devices were used and that caused by problems with keeping Wendy’s open for customers.

An employee said on the phone that the Wendy’s would reopen for business Saturday.

No injuries were reported.
