Moss, who police said was a Bensalem resident but his mother Rochelle Smith told Fox 29 lived in Levittown, was shot while working at a metal scrap yard in Camden.

“My brother was murdered at his job. He went out everyday to make a living for his daughter and mother, until two thugs doubled teamed him and eventually murdered him,” Shawn Moss wrote on a GoFundMe page.

Moss is survived by his 8-year-old daughter who had not yet been informed by family that her father had passed away, the Courier-Post newspaper reported.

“He took her swimming, he took her everywhere, had birthdays, sat down taught her to read and write. He was a good father. She loved her father. My son was a good boy. I just want whoever did this to be caught because this is wrong what you did to my son,” Moss’s mother tearfully told Fox 29.

During college, Moss was a standout defensive end for Kutztown University’s football team. He was known for setting a school record and helped lead the team to an undefeated season. Smith told Fox 29 that her son could have gone to play for the NFL but suffered a knee injury.

Moss was an organ donor.
