Mill Street in Bristol Borough has been a site of rejuvenation over the past two years.

A coffee shop, book store, new owners in the King George and a Mexican Restaurant were all preceded by Nameless Prints at 219 Mill Street.

Owner Joe Stanley brought the print shop to Mill Street in November 2014. The move was prompted by a need to move out of the space of his parents’ house where his business was situated before moving to Bristol’s central business district.

Stanley got started with screen printing when he played in a band in high school. He started printing shirts for his own band, and when others saw his handiwork, they couldn’t help but ask for their own shirts and designs.

“It’s definitely a passion. I have always been a creative person. Even before joining my band, I wrote my own songs and drew album covers,” Stanley said. “It’s how I make my money, sure, but I take it seriously.”

For Stanley, his passion for art has come together with Nameless Prints.

The storefront allows for foot traffic to find its way into Nameless Prints, although Stanley says that the storefront was needed more for its space than the appeal of foot traffic.

The foot traffic is paying off, though. Since the launch of Pokemon Go, players have been stopping in, and according to Stanley, been ordering custom shirts for the game.

Stanley lives in Levittown, but hasn’t been blind to the revitalization coming to Bristol, especially in the area of Mill Street.”Even since I have been here, I have seen businesses open,” Stanley said, referring again to Calm Water Coffee Roasters and the Mill Street Cantina.

Stanley hopes to keep his business among the ones helping make Bristol strong.
