Members and employees at Inspire Federal Credit Union are making a difference.
The credit union that is headquartered in Bristol Township and has a branch in Middletown recently helped collect donations for Operation Helping Hand, a food drive put on by the United Way of Bucks County and Bucks County Opportunity Council. In total, the drive collected 67,000 pounds of non-perishable food items distributed to 22 pantries across Bucks County. The collection marked a 47 percent increase in donation weight from last year.

Marissa Christie, Chief Development Officer at United Way of Bucks County noted that the support from the credit union, volunteers and community was a “key component to the success of the food drive this year.”
The credit union also served as a donation place recently for a Red Cross blood drive. At blood donation events at the credit union over the past three years, enough blood to help 300 people has been collected.
“The turnout is always great, and weโre able to help save the lives of hundreds of people in our community from this eventโ said Jim Merrill, CEO and president of Inspire Federal Credit Union.
