Falls Township police have charged a man they allege vandalized a youth baseball field.
On Friday, July 1, police were made aware that the Levittown Continental Baseball field on Fallsington-Tullytown Road in Levittown was vandalized. Wooden benches on the field were overturned and damaged, requiring about $200 of repair work, police said.

Security camera footage shows a subject causing the damage on Thursday, June 30. In the moments after flipping one of the benches, the man “raised his fist in a celebratory manner,” police wrote in court papers.
After retrieving images from the security cameras, police released the photos online and to the media, including LevittownNow.com.

A local resident who saw the photos posted by a local news outlet recognized the subject in them as James Codispoti Jr., 40, of Levittown, and contacted investigators, police said.

“Once I received this information I accessed Codispoti Jr.’s Pennsylvania Driver’s License photograph during which time I immediately positively identified him as the same person depicted in the image,” a police official wrote.
Codispoti was arraigned Monday afternoon on charges of institutional vandalism and two summary offenses. He was set free on $10,000 unsecured bail.
