Eighty-two high school seniors graduated from Bristol Borough Senior High School on Tuesday night.
Through the ceremony, student leaders and faculty spoke on the necessity for students to stand up for themselves and others in the future in an effort to make their own lives and the world as a whole a better place.

“It is not the path you choose that determines who you become,” said Katie Marie Morris, president of the class of 2016.
“Bristol High School has molded us into the people we are today,” Morris said.
Through inspirational quips, Morris made sure to remind the students not to forget where they got their start, and keep pride in Bristol.

The focus on the future of the graduating seniors was kept up by Superintendent Dr. Thomas Shaffer. He focused on telling students to keep three aspects in mind for development in the future: mindfulness, hope, and compassion.
“By understanding yourself, having mindfulness, hope, and compassion, you have the power to make the world a better place to live in,” Shaffer said.

“High school has put me on a path of self discovery,” said Katelyn Santana, the salutatorian. “I realize that I may not see many of you after tonight, and that is a painful thought,” Santana said.
Of everyone who spoke to the graduating seniors, the idea of grinding for greatness and working for tomorrow perpetuated itself. Ryder Rigby, the valedictorian, mentioned that everyone’s path to success will be different, but no one should stop pushing.
The senior class won more than $800,000 in scholarships and awards.
