Silver Lake Nature Center Hosting 50th Anniversary Open House

Silver Lake Nature Center in Bristol is continuing to celebrate its 50th anniversary with an open house this Saturday.

Guests who come to the nature center on Bath Road Saturday between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. will be able to utilize and experience a number of features the facility has to offer the community. Guests can experience the center’s award winning butterfly garden, visit exhibit animals, go on guided tours, tour the unique Earthship, and more.

More 50th anniversary events will be coming up in the future, according to officials.

The schedule of events for Saturday:

  • 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.: The Earthship will be open for tours. ($5 fee)
  • Noon -1 p.m.: Visit with our resident animals in the Exhibit Area.
  • 1 p.m. – 2 p.m.: Our newDirector, Jerry Kozlansky will be leading a free, guided walk on the trails.
  • 2 p.m. – 5 p.m.: Artists of Bristol’s Opening Reception for their beautiful Art Show in the auditorium.
