
The death of a 2-year-old little girl is under investigation.
Bucks County District Attorney David Heckler confirmed to LevittownNow.com late Monday afternoon that 2-year-old Athena Wolfe died Monday at 6:57 a.m. at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Athena was rushed to the children’s hospital Sunday afternoon after sustaining blunt injuries at a home in the 1400 block of Sweetbriar Drive in Falls Township.

Heckler said the little girl’s death was “suspicious” and being probed by Falls and Bucks County detectives.
Athena underwent surgery in an attempt to save her life late Sunday but succumbed to injuries early Monday.
According to a preliminary investigation, the incident that led to the injuries happened at the Sweetbriar Drive home where Athena’s mother, who is originally from the Pittsburgh area, lives with her boyfriend.

An autopsy by the Philadelphia Medical Examiner’s Office is scheduled for Tuesday.
No charges had been filed as of late Monday afternoon, and Heckler said the cause of the injuries remains under investigation.
