Middletown police were set to search at least one unit at the Public Storage complex on South Flowers Mill Road Sunday afternoon.
Officers stood guard in the afternoon as they awaited detectives with a signed search warrant. Chief Joseph Bartorilla said at 2 p.m. that a district judge had signed the warrant and it would be executed sometime in the afternoon.

Patrol officers responded to the Public Storage complex around 9:15 p.m. Saturday night for a large party with as many as 50 people on location, Bartorilla said.

As police from around the area responded and took control of the scene, officers found possible evidence of drugs at the facility, Bartorilla said.
Several people were taken into custody and an investigation was launched. Officers sat outside the complex since Saturday night to secure the scene in advance of the search warrant.

The chief said the search of the property is expected to yield more information and could lead to additional charges.
