A Bristol resident came to Bristol Fire Company (Station 51) at the corner of Wood and Market streets around 2:20 p.m. Wednesday to report the “next door’ building was on fire. Upon further investigation, firefighters found the fire and a column of black smoke was coming from the roof of 237 Mill Street, Fire Chief Herb Slack said.
