Neshaminy elementary school students received a lesson on local government this month.

Township Manager Stephanie Teoli Kuhls and Community Resource Officer Melissa Robison visited Oliver Heckman, Herbert Hoover and Pearl Buck elementary schools. The visits were part of Local Government Month, which has been proclaimed for April by the board of supervisors.

Teoli Kuhls and Robison explained the function of local government and police. The second-grade students at Pearl Buck seemed enthralled as Robison told a story of  how officers wrangled horses that had escaped and ended up in the school yard at Herbert Hoover.

In 2015, Teoli Kuhls and Robison began the program at the schools.
