Most, if not all, of the outages were caused by high winds and strong gusts that moved in between 11 p.m. Saturday and early Sunday morning.
On Saturday, forecasters warned that downed trees and power outages could come along with the winds. They also raised a warning that high-profile vehicles on north-south roads, bridges and overpasses could face difficult driving conditions due to the high winds.
Residents were asked by the National Weather Service to secure items in their yards that could blow away and cause a hazard.
