The popular Hope Cuts event is returning to the Bucks County Technical High School in Bristol Township this weekend.
The event, scheduled for Saturday, April 2, will showcase cosmetology students form the Technical high school putting their talents to use for a good cause.

The event’s proceeds will go to Philadelphia’s City of Hope and will help to fund cancer research. The event is staffed totally by student volunteers, including cosmetology students performing services and members of the school’s Key Club.
According to Brandee Baker, the cosmetology instructor at tech school and co-coordinator, more than 40 students will be volunteering their services for the event.
“This event is more than what it seems. The students are volunteering their time and services to provide our community with discounted beauty services, while at the same time raising money for cancer research and treatment. In the process they are putting their talent to work, while developing leadership and customer service skills, in which they can use in their career development,” said Shane White, a co-coordinator and Bucks County Technical High School alumni.

“It is inspiring to watch these students interact with the members of our community and give back to an amazing organization who is committed to finding a cure,” White said.
The students will be offering a number of services, including hair cuts, deep conditioning treatments and manicures, which will all be $5. Organizers said facials, will cost just $6.

In addition to the services, hair care products will be on sale.
The event runs from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Bucks County Technical High School located on Wistar Road in Fairless Hills.
