Levittown Man Arrested For Violent NJ Robbery

A Levittown man was among three people arrested in connection with a alleged robbery and assault that happened in northern New Jersey.

Police in Newton, New Jersey say 38-year-old David A. Ransom of Levittown was arrested with Michael J. Tremblay, 38, of Budd Lake, New Jersey and charged with robbery in connection with an incident that happened last Thursday around 4 a.m.

Ransom and Tremblay reportedly broken into a apartment and attacked the male resident with a hammer, taking his cash, police said. They added the victim said one of the of the attackers was wearing a mask.

The resident suffered lacerations to his arm in the attack, police said.

A third suspect was arrested and charged with conspiracy.

Ransom and Tremblay were sent to prison. Ransom’s bail was set at $232,000.
