Pennsylvania State Police based in Trevose held a DUI checkpoint Friday night into early Saturday morning in Lower Bucks County.

The location of the checkpoint was not released, but troopers said they issued 15 summary violations, arrested three people for DUI and wrote 13 warnings.

According to troopers, the checkpoint was in place from 11 p.m. Friday until 4 a.m. Saturday.

“The goal of a stationary DUI detail is to reduce the number of alcohol and drug related serious and fatal crashes, and to reduce the number of DUI drivers of Pennsylvania’s highways,” a state police press release said.

Area police held a DUI checkpoint on the Newtown Bypass just last week to coincide with the St. Patrick’s Day holiday weekend.
