Bristol Borough police said that a body was discovered behind the Walmart at Commerce Circle on Wednesday.

The body was found Wednesday morning by crews who were cleaning up underbrush behind the Walmart and it was immediately reported to police. Bristol Borough police and the Bucks County Coroner responded to the scene and reported that the body is of a male. The body was found under a significant amount of brush, according to Sgt. Joe Moors.

The cause of death and the identity of the male was not immediately known by officials.

The area is, however, the same area that Bristol Township resident Craig Fant, 48, went missing back in late December. According to officials and Fant’s family, he reportedly left Lower Bucks Hospital and began walking towards the Oxford Valley Mall on Wednesday December 23, but was last seen later that day near the Winder Village neighborhood in Bristol Township.

The area the body was found is directly behind the Winder Village neighborhood and Lower Bucks Hospital.

Fant’s family had stated to officials he was in need of medication and that they had become worried that he may have become confused or disoriented and not remembered how to get home. A missing persons report was later filed.
