Vehicle Overturns, Brings Down Utility Pole In Crash

A crash brought down a utility pole along Ford Road in Bristol Township Tuesday morning.

An SUV was traveling south on Ford Road when the driver ran off the road and struck a tree. The vehicle overturned and brought down a utility pole just before Hilltop Avenue, police said.

Police Lt. John Godzieba said the driver was walking around following the crash and not seriously injured.

The crash caused Ford Road to be closed in the area of the accident. The road remained closed by late morning, and crews were expected to replace the pole.
