A former high school football standout will be spending the next five to 15 years behind bars.
Eric Reynolds, 26, of Warminster, was sentenced recently by county Judge Theodore C. Fritsch after pleading guilty to robbery of a motor vehicle, theft, criminal attempt, unauthorized use of a vehicle and disorderly conduct. In an unrelated case, he also pleaded guilty to a retail theft out of Bensalem.

Reynolds, who was once a standout on the Central Bucks South High School’s football team, was involved in the carjacking of a 65-year-old man at the Residence Inn on Cabot Boulevard in Falls Township last fall.
The vehicle Reynolds was in was eventually stopped after being trailed by police, but he escaped on foot.
It took about a week, but police were eventually able to arrest Reynolds in Philadelphia.

After graduating high school, Reynolds was convicted of robbing two women at gunpoint outside the Walmart in Upper Moreland, Montgomery County in 2010. He blamed the robbery on a heroin addiction.
Fritsch also required Reynolds to pay $15,970.78 in restitution to the victim and continue with substance abuse help while in state prison.
