A longtime Pennsbury educator was named the principal of Oxford Valley Elementary School last month.
Donna Minnigh was appointed by the school board to fill the position left vacant when former Principal Fran Nitkin became sick last year. Minnigh has been filling in the acting principal position before last month’s vote.

Minnigh worked as a teacher at Charles Boehm Middle School in Lower Makefield for much of the 11 years she’s been with the district. More recently, she served as a teacher on special assignment with the district administration.
Superintendent Dr. Kevin McHugh heralded Minnigh’s work during her time with Pennsbury. He called her a “go-to person for all of our schools, especially Charles Boehm.”
“She has tremendous support from the administration and the faculty, as you can see … and the Oxford Valley PTO,” McHugh said.
