Bristol Borough police have identified the man who was killed when the stolen pickup truck he was driving crashed.
Kyle Stutzman, 19, of Philadelphia, was determined to be the man killed early Thursday morning when the red Dodge pickup truck he was driving rolled several times before slamming into a small wooded area off Old Route 13 near the intersection with Otter Street, Sgt. Pete Faight confirmed Friday afternoon.

The identification of Stutzman came after the cell phone found on his body rang Thursday evening. Officers matched two tattoos found on his body, a driver’s license and other details to make the positive identification, Faight said.
About three hours after the wreck, the owner of the pickup truck called officers to report his vehicle was stolen from the 2500 block of Palmer Avenue in Bristol Township overnight.

Crash investigators told LevittownNow.com that two witnesses said they spotted the pickup truck pass two people as it headed out of Bristol moments before the wreck. The truck swerved across lanes, struck the gravel shoulder, overcompensated and rolled several times before slamming into a tree in a small wooded area, Faight said.

Stutzman was pronounced deceased at the scene and appeared to have been ejected.
As of Friday afternoon, Faight said he could not confirm whether Stutzman stole the truck, but he was behind the wheel at the time on the crash.
