Middletown Baker To Be Featured On National TV



A baker from Middletown will be featured on national television Monday.

Chef Van Earl French Jr. will be on Monday night’s episode of Food Network’s “Cake Wars,” the popular competition program that has aired for several years. The Neshaminy High School and Restaurant School graduate will bring his more than 20 years of culinary experience to the baking competition show that will air at 9 p.m. Monday.

Frenchย runs the well-reviewed Van Earl’s Cakes in Middletown. The bakery creates custom wedding cakes and desserts.

The Pub 2900 at 2900 Street Road in Bensalem will be hosting a viewing party for Frenchย Monday night from 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. The public is invited to attend to the event, which will include a bite-sized testing of the competition cake and a $150 raffle drawing.
