Harry S. Truman High School in Bristol Township will be dismissing early Tuesday.

School district officials made the call to dismiss school due to the fact the heating circulator at the high school on Green Lane failed. Students will be dismissed at 9:58 a.m.

“While the mechanical issue is not impacting heat in all sections of the school it is impacting enough rooms to warrant the early closing,” a district statement said.

Students who usually take the bus will be given transportation home.

Repairs on the heating system were underway as of 9 a.m. The district said they plan to open school Wednesday morning.

The heating system malfunction took place on a day where temperatures were recorded at 18 degrees in Trenton at 9 a.m.

“The health and well-being of Truman High School students is always our primary priority,” the district said.
