Tyler Verrecchia has a collection of cars that he is constantly showing off on Facebook. Be it cars he owns, or the rose-tinted nostalgia glasses that allow him to look into his cars of the past, it is obvious that his passion far exceeds his day job.
Working in the towing industry, it is no surprise that Verrecchia comes into contact with all kinds of personal vehicles on a day-to-day basis.

“I’m more of a truck person then I am a car person. I’m a huge fan of the international CXT or the Ford F-650 Pickup. Car wise, I don’t really know what my favorite would be. Probably a 1966 Lincoln Continental. [It’s] one of my dream cars,” Verrecchia explained.
Being in this line of work and having a huge passion for cars and trucks has led Verracchia to like a type of vehicle thatย others may grimace at: hearses.

So far, Verracchia has had four hearses. He found the first one on Craigslist, and after ย trading and buying up the line, Verracchia ended up with two hearses – one a 1994 model named Lily and one from 1995. He purchased the 1995 one from a colleague in theย Mohnton Professional Car Club and has enjoyed his hearses since March, when he bought the 1995.

Collectively, the hearses have been in five car shows. Even on regular days, the hearses receive a huge amount of attention from the public.
“You get a lot of feedback on the cars. Some people love it, some people are incredibly creeped out by it. Someย won’t even go near it,” Verrecchia said.

There is such interest in the hearses that Verrecchia has come out of stores to find people taking selfies with and examining the car.

Verrecchia has always been interested in cars. He credits this , at least in part, to his families large collection of cars dating back to 1923. Verrecchia said he was always around them and grew into the interest naturally.
Recently, one of his hearses was on display in front of Penn Thrift Beverage on New Falls Road around Halloween.

It seems to go without question that Verrecchia’s collection will continue to grow and he will continue to enter the hearses into car shows to bring the cars to a wider audience.
