A Falls Township man is accused of perpetrating two armed robberies.
Joseph Divergigelis, 49, of Falls’ Levittown section, is charged with six counts of felony robbery and two counts of theft and receiving stolen property.

Divergigelis robbed the 7-Eleven near the corner of New Falls Road and Veterans Highway (Route 413) in Middletown early on the morning of December 29 and the Sunoco gas station at the corner of New Falls Road and Penn Valley Road in Falls on January 7, police said.
Last Friday, an officer on patrol saw the same Dodge pickup truck spotted leaving the scenes of the robberies parked outside a house on Tanglewood Lane in Levitown.
The officer checked the license plate on the pickup truck and discovered the truck belonged to Divergigelis. He also determined Divergigelis has two guns registered to his name, police said.

A search warrant was obtained by investigators. The house Divergigelis was living in and the pickup truck were searched.
Police said they recovered several clothing item that appeared to be same ones worn during the robberies. A black handgun was reportedly found in the truck.

Divergigelis was arraigned early Saturday morning before District Frank Peranteau Sr. The district judge set the 49 year old’s bail at 10 percent of $100,000.
