The Pennsylvania Farm Show is in full swing in Harrisburg, and the traditional Mid-Atlantic Dairy Association and Pennsylvania Dairy Promotion Program butter sculpture has been unveiled.

The butter sculpture pays tribute to the many food products grown and produced in Pennsylvania, marking the “blue ribbon experience.”
The sculpture was created by Montgomery County food artists Jim Victor and Marie Pelton, who are husband and wife. The large butter creation was carved from 1,000 pounds of butter.
Work on the unique Pennsylvania sculpture began late last year inside a refrigerated chamber at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center in Harrisburg.

Butter sculptures have been a part of the popular farm show since 1991 and included many different themes. Last year’s sculpture showcased Pennsylvania’s dairy industry.
