On Tuesday evening, Falls Township officials passed their 2016 budget.
The budget, which holds the line on taxes and millage, was passed without opposition and without the need for public comment. The millage rate for the township will remain at 7.22 mills.

The 2016 budget that was passed during the regularly scheduled Board of Supervisors’ meeting totals $32.6 million.
The township has budgeted funds to continue its ongoing road program, start and complete the New Falls Road sidewalk project, initiate plans for a new township building, reprimand drainage issues in Vermillion Hills, purchase two in-car camera systems for the police department and the addition of a director of public works.
Despite the moves of other townships throughout the past few years, Falls has decided not to enact an Earned Income Tax (EIT) on its residents.
