For the fifth year in a row, Bristol Township residents will see no tax increase.
If the proposed financial budget plan is passed on December 17, the millage rate would remain at 23.98 mills, averaging about $428.69 in real estate taxes for the average homeowner.

Residents will also see no raise in the refuse fee, which has remained at $317 for the past three years.
The proposed plan of $52,690,925 is a $15 million decrease in spending from last year, according to Township Manager Bill McCauley.
The multi-million dollar plan will invest $1 million to remove blight by condemning and demolishing abandoned and vacant homes, invest $6 million in the wastewater treatment plan, construct $800,000 in municipal complex upgrades, continue traffic signal upgrades, add two more police officers, add two more laborer positions to Public Works, provide accreditation funding for the police department and provide $100,000 in Glasson Grants to area fire departments.

McCauley called for the Bucks County Commissioners to approve a countywide reassessment. He notes the last reassessment was performed in Bucks County in 1973, while other area counties have performed them more recently.
The council is set to vote on the budget at their December 17 meeting.
