Mental Health First Aid Training Coming To Bucks County

Mental health first aid training is coming to Bucks County this month.

The training is being offered by theย Lenape Valley Foundation on Friday, December 18 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.. The training will be held at theย Lenape Valley Foundation located at 500 North West Street in Doylestown, according to a press release.

Mental health first aid helps the public to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness and substance abuse. The training will be offered in the shape of an interactive course, and in certifying as a mental health first aider, will learn a five step action plan to help someone who needs it, the press release explained.

After finishing the training, participants will receive a certificate of course completion.

Pre-registration is a requirement to take part in the course. The course costs $35, and lunch is included.
