The tree lighting in Bristol Borough is always a joyous, and packed, occasion for the town. This year was no different, with seeming thousands of individuals making their way to enjoy the festivities of the evening.
Kicking off at 6:30 p.m., the program featured Bristol Borough Raising the Bar President Bill Pezza speaking and noting everyone who made the tree lighting possible. Some of those people include the borough council members, Borough Manager James Dillon and the tree lighting chairpersons Joanna Schneyder, Ron Walker and Mycle Gorman.

The tree this year was provided by Steve Taylor of Edgely in memory of several member of the Taylor family.
Brian Adams, the owner of Trainpop Attic, and Steve Mooney of Farmer’s insurance were responsible for the train providing children with rides. “It seemed like a perfect fit. The kids really enjoyed it last year,” explained Adams.
State Senator Tommy Tomlinson (R-6) was also present and partook in the lighting of the tree. “You are truly the strength of this town. Bless you for being you,” Tomlinson said moments before the tree sprang to life.
